Long time no update... Down 20 lbs

I'm a slacker I know, but honestly I don't think more than maybe 1 or 2 people check this site once a month anyway.
So, I'm down 20 pounds now and starting to notice the difference. Most of my clothes are a lot looser. The wife has positively noticed it, and I had someone at work that I seldom see that really noticed, so that was cool. Last week or so I've been fluctuating a lot and not making a lot of progress. Partly due to me not sticking as rigidly to the program I'm following.
On the house front, since last posted I've done the following...
  • Installed new weather stripping around front door
  • New dishwasher installed (super nice and fancy one!)
  • Installed wall plate to run cables from behind TV down inside wall behind the entertainment console.
  • Stair rail spindles painted white, looks SOOO much better!
  • Window sills in 2 upstairs bedrooms primed and ready for paint.
  • Nail Hole filler work done in bedrooms by Cat
  • Lyropie planted in front flower beds need to plant a bit more and plan wandering Jew
  • Flower beds in front yard fixed and new soil worked in.
  • Kitchen cracks are patched and mud has been spread (needs sanding)
  • Kitchen wallpaper removed (along with lots of drywall paper that had to be patched.
  • Installed automated cooling system in entertainment center

Our New Onkyo Reciever

So I have been wanting to upgrade my 7 year old stereo for quite some time now and I finally have. I wanted to make the switch to HDMI, I also wanted one of the newer stereos that will calibrate it's speakers to properly fill the room with sound. My old Sony was the most confusing pain in the butt to configure.
At first I'd started looking at Onkyo's HTIB (Home Theater In a Box) setups. Theirs are really nice because it's a true reciever paired with a matched set of speakers, and full of features. Originally I was looking at the HT-S7100 and was about to make a purchase, when I discoverd that Onkyo had released an improved version of the reciever that is used in the package, but they have not yet added that new reciver to the HTIB package. Long story short I've ordered the Onkyo TX-SR607 I will look into upgrading our speakers later down the road after I've researched them a bit more. I need to decide if I want to go 7.1/7.2 surround or just stick with a 5.1 speaker setup. Currently there isn't much media presented in 7.1 let alone 7.2 (which simply put adds vertical surround sound by adding a 2nd set of front speakers.
The main features I am excited about:
  • 6 HDMI inputs 5 in back 1 up front (all 1.3 version)
  • Analog to HDMI video upconversion by Faroujda DCDi up to 1080i
  • A single HDMI cable run to your TV (all non HD signals get upconverted and passed to the TV over HDMI. (less mess, and better video quality)
  • Multi room capability (push sound to a different set of speakers in another room.)
  • Speaker Levels Calibration - It has a microphone that you place in the middle of the room to calibrate your speakers and correct the sound output to be balanced appropriatly for the room.
  • HD Radio ready (with add on module)
  • Sirius Ready (just needs an antenna and subscription.)
